2012 Winter CurriculumAdults Adult Acting Class- "Psychology of the Actor: Finding Character Within Yourself": Don't let the name intimidate you. This is an intensive, detail oriented course focusing on perfecting monologues and character development. This course also includes work in the area of scene study, improv, TV and film. Taught by Broadway and Daytime TV veteran T. Eric Hart. Serious actors only. Get to the point where you know that you know that you know that you know. If you want to be good, be present. students will work on Acting, Public Speaking,
Leadership and Creative Thinking, with an emphasis on Acting technique,
monologues, scene study and improvisation. This is a MUST for anyone
planning on working on the stage or in film (whether in school
productions, community theater or professionally). At the end of the semester they will be collaborating on short productions which will be performed for family and friends. Taught by T. Image, Etiquette and Beginning Modeling: We will be working on good posture and presenting ourselves to make the best first impression. Making eye contact, speaking clearly and respecting others are a few things we will cover. The 2nd half of the class will focus on runway work and how to continue employing the skills we learned in the earlier classes. There is no height or weight requirement. We will end the semester with a fashion show. Taught by Amy Hart, former model with John Robert Powers and Margaret O'Brien agencies.
